Catherine and Dimitri
March 19, 2008 – 9:39 pm
Ok so i’m a bit late in posting this one. I’ve been sick over the last week and i didn’t have the energy to do much, the shipment of proofs that came in today are all out of order. I just spent the last 6 hours of my life trying to put the proofs in chronological order, it looked like someone at the lab decided to shuffle my proofs, not fun.But anyway, i decided to do something a bit different with this one. Instead of posting about 10 images, i decided to post a complete album design for you guys covering just about the entire day. No fancy stuff here, no look what i can do but rather an album design that a client will purchase, including all the traditional poses that clients expect. So about the wedding, well it was held over at St Catherine’s and George, hmmm i’ve been there often lately and will be going back at the end of this month for a baptism. And the reception was held at the Westbury Manor.
Keep it real

A moment in time
March 4, 2008 – 11:43 pm
Little things in life are never noticed. Little things in life are sometimes ignored. Little things in life last a lifetime.
My favorite image from last weeks wedding, more to come in a few days.

Anastasia and Chris The Wedding
February 18, 2008 – 1:13 pm
Anastasias and Chris’s wedding day finally arrived and what an energetic couple they were. The day was stress free, stunning but the weather was cold. But their family and friends had such a love for the day that i don’t think that anyone really cared. The ceremony was held at St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church in Astoria, and the reception for the festivities at Leonard’s of Great Neck. Oh let’s not forget about Bravo Sounds that provided the entertainment for the night.

Elaine and Tom
January 6, 2008 – 3:00 pm
In closing off the last wedding of the 2007 season, I had the opportunity in shooting Elaine and Tom’s wedding. Now this wasn’t your usual huge Greek wedding but rather a smaller but yet extremely elegant affair. Now that we are 2008 my first wedding will be in February so until then i will share some specials moments from this years baptisms in the next couple of posts. Until then, keep it real.

Eirini and Iraklis Uber Greek Wedding
December 22, 2007 – 11:53 pm
On the coldest day thus far, I had the opportunity to shoot the wedding of the uber cool couple Eirini and Irakli. Their wedding ceremony was once again held at The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Paul in Hempsted. And when it was time to get down and wiggle it we had a cool time over at the North Ritz Club in Long Island.
Well now we can’t forget about the Jimmy Choo’s
My clients love me so much, that they even order pastries with my initials on them.
And yes, we want some cake……

Christos in Canada
September 11, 2007 – 12:46 pm
I finally got around to completing a few images for the blog from my first destination wedding in Canada. What can I say it was a real adventure and I had a blast. We started of with the guys this time around since I stayed at the same hotel as they were in. The guys were real troopers for a 9:30AM start time, mind you the wedding ceremony was at 4PM. I later found out that they got undressed and spent the remainder of the morning and early afternoon at the hotel pool.
If you ever plan on going to Canada you have to check out and stay at this rocking hotel Novotel Montréal Aéroport. After I finished the guys it was a very fast drive to the bride’s house. A special thanks goes out to the videographer Marcello from Pacifica that was kind enough to chauffeur me around the entire day.

Now I also photograph more traditional bridal party portraits for the couples families but the brides and grooms want something cooler for themselves.
So here we go a relaxed bridal party portrait with attitude.

When i think of it and as the day progresses i truly enjoy capturing emotional moments. I feel that the father and daughter dance is my favorite part of the wedding.

Before and After
August 8, 2007 – 1:58 pm
I think it’s time for a show and tell of an image before and after. As all my current clients know all the proofs that you receive have basic white balance and color correction applied but are not finished 100%.
When you select the images for your album or purchase any enlargements from me, all images go through another round of editing and become the finished product. This is important to understand since I include a DVD that contains all the proofs on a high resolution DVD. The images on the DVD are of the same quality as the proofs, why do you ask well it’s rather simple. If I provide you with 800 proofs it’s not practical for me to retouch all the images since a large portion of them will not be ordered or end up in your album. The other thing is you are really paying for my experience and talent as a visual artist to document your wedding and for my experience to provide you with excellent imagery. Unfortunately this comes at a price and is what will set the images apart. Just because I own the same pots, pans and knife’s that Wolfgang Puck uses, it doesn’t mean that I can cook like him. Plus my wife is a better cook then I am anyway.
As you can see the image on the left is straight out of the camera and it looks pretty good as is, this is what you will be receiving as a proof print and what would be included on your DVD. The image on the right is a final print that will end up in your album or as an enlargement. Know you can see the difference on why you should come too me for your enlargements, but the choice is yours.

Christine and Yanni Wedding
July 9, 2007 – 11:18 pm
I had this wonderful opportunity to photography another beautiful Greek bride and her now handsome husband Yanni. This lovely couple has been a blast to work with and hang out for frappethes during our relationship. And I must say I had a blast at their wedding. So Christine and Yanni congratulations guys. So I know everybody is waiting for some images and here you go. This wedding had so many wonderful images I had a hard time in selecting the images for the blog post so I decided to post more than usual. I also decided to post more images from this wonderful wedding ceremony that was held at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York City.
Now don’t forget to check out the online slideshow by clicking here.
PS.
I’m sorry for the heavy watermark on the images but apparently certain studios / photographers in the NY area have been using my images and passing them of as there own, bad, bad, bad. So if you are a potential client and see my images on another photographers website please let me know.
Thanks
Christos
