Peters Birthday Part 2

As I said earlier we had the official birthday party for my oldest son today. Not only that my son wanted his party to be held at Mcdonald’s, can you say Big Mac. He had a blast with about 20 kids running around the entire place. Needless to say I wasn’t able to take as many pictures as I would’ve liked but hey I was the host anyway.

My beautiful wife Helen with the birthday boy. Pay no attention to my son’s expressions after five years of daddy taking pictures of him, I think he has had enough. And now when ever he sees my camera pointing towards him he makes these funny faces.

You guessed it my son loves cars.

And let’s not forget about the youngest, playing a game of air hockey. And of course I have to post at least one black and white.

Peters Birthday Part 1

Last week was my oldest son’s birthday, and since I had to work that weekend we didn’t have a chance to celebrate it. So my wife decided to have a party for him this Sunday since I had a day off. Well Saturday’s engagement shoot had to cancel and that meant one thing. Play day for Peter, we took him out to one of his favorite places Dave and Buster’s in Westbury. Well after a short nap for the kids and a cloths change we ended up going to my favorite place, see below for more details.

Doing his best but he still finished last place, shhh don’t tell him that.

As I said earlier the family and I ended up going to one of our favorite summer hangout joints Pessos Italian Ices. If you are ever in Bayside you must try this place, it’s rocking. They are located on the corner of 35th avenue and 204 street, oh yeah if you ever see a guy chasing around two kids with a camera in hand, stop and say hello, it’s probably me.

And since i couldn’t make up my mind, i had my wife order for me. This is what she got me Mango ice with vanilla ice cream. After all I must maintain my physique.

Play Day

Today was one of those special father and son days. I went to see my oldest son perform in a “in” classroom pre-k play. He was so excited when I walked in with my big old camera.
I encourage all dads to participate as much as possible in their children’s activities. It truly means so much to them, trust me you had to see my sons face just light up when you saw me.
Now I wont show any images of the class or other children but I will share some of his work for you.
My Son Peter.

And some of his work

We are back baby.

Well folks now that Thanksgiving has past and I feel like I gained 10 pounds in one day. I will spare you the pictures of me eating LOL. I hope that you all enjoyed this day with your families. I know I did and the moment that stands out the most is when my brother taught my youngest son how to blow raspberries at daddy.
Oh yeah a special thanks goes out to John Kapaniris for pointing out a problem with this post. Thanks man, go ahead and check out Kapa’s new blog.

Happy 4th of July

I hardly get a chance to go out and photograph for personal relaxation, but yesterday was the day.

My brother and I ended up going to the Shea Stadium annual 4th of July fireworks show. Although the Mets lost to the Pirates, the worst team in the National League by a score of 11-1. The fireworks show was pretty good. Below are a couple of my favorite images. Well folks have a happy and safe 4th of July.

Greek Baptism, Candle lighting

This stunning image has been captured at a Greek Baptism during the candle lighting service. The service was held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox church in Flushing, Queens, New York.

If you are interested in learning more about the traditions of a Greek baptism service you can read all about it on my website.
