A day of thanks

Another holiday season is fast approaching and it begins with Thanksgiving. As I sit back and reflect on this, I’m asking myself what am I thankful for? That is so easy to answer, so here is what I’m giving thanks for.

Mine and my families health

My super cool wife Helen for putting up with me.

My two great sons’

My uber cool clients

My cool friends

Nikon for releasing the D300 and D3, hon you know what is coming next right……

For Apple, I have seen the light.

So to everyone out there have a cool Thanksgiving.

The new iMac mission migrate the mail

So far I have to admit I’m really digging my new iMac big time it’s uber cool. My number one priority was the ability to migrate all of my e-mail from Microsoft Outlook over to Entourage. Not only did I have to bring it over, but I needed all the attachments in tact, the “to” and “from” fields had to display properly and I needed the dates the e-mails have been sent and received to remain in tact as well.
In my search for methods on doing this I came across this very cool applet that let me do all of the above and also migrate my contacts and scheduled tasks, after all, all the wedding and christening dates are entered into my calendar. This little tool called Outlook to Mac from http://www.littlemachines.com/ did the trick and it only cost $10.

I have to admit I did run into a problem migrating over my calendar. This is because in MS Outlook I enabled to show all United States and Greek holiday’s, so O2M decided to bring them over, this caused Entourage to crash because it was migrating a few thousand dates, what a bummer. Don’t worry I manually entered all the weddings I have to do next year and verified everything is correct and I will be showing up on your door step when I’m supposed to.

A day over 40

Today is the day after my 40th birthday and since I had to shoot a rocking engagement party last night the family and I are celebrating my birthday today. The cool part of today is that I’m actually writing this post on my brand spanking new 24” iMac, now this is so cool.

I think I’ll save the reasons of why I switched after being with Microsoft for like 18 years for another post. Personally I just hate Vista. So in about a week I’ll write a short review of my new toy.

Boo

Ghosts, goblins and monsters oh my. What a beautiful day today to celebrate Halloween, so I’m just wondering how many of you guys and gals are taking your nieces and nephews out trick or treating today?
Or maybe you may want to relive the old Rock Horror Picture Show, damn do I remember those days, is it as good as it used to be? I wonder how many people still go to see the midnight showing. Just in case you are you can catch the midnight showing at Clearview’s Chelsea.   Either way be safe.

I was sitting here today thinking about the title of this post and I decided to write a small blurb about this topic. If you have some time to kill and are really trying to get into my mind, well go ahead and read it. Otherwise it’s just some stuff for the search engines.

Peters Birthday Part 2

As I said earlier we had the official birthday party for my oldest son today. Not only that my son wanted his party to be held at Mcdonald’s, can you say Big Mac. He had a blast with about 20 kids running around the entire place. Needless to say I wasn’t able to take as many pictures as I would’ve liked but hey I was the host anyway.

My beautiful wife Helen with the birthday boy. Pay no attention to my son’s expressions after five years of daddy taking pictures of him, I think he has had enough. And now when ever he sees my camera pointing towards him he makes these funny faces.

You guessed it my son loves cars.

And let’s not forget about the youngest, playing a game of air hockey. And of course I have to post at least one black and white.

Peters Birthday Part 1

Last week was my oldest son’s birthday, and since I had to work that weekend we didn’t have a chance to celebrate it. So my wife decided to have a party for him this Sunday since I had a day off. Well Saturday’s engagement shoot had to cancel and that meant one thing. Play day for Peter, we took him out to one of his favorite places Dave and Buster’s in Westbury. Well after a short nap for the kids and a cloths change we ended up going to my favorite place, see below for more details.

As I said earlier the family and I ended up going to one of our favorite summer hangout joints Pessos Italian Ices. If you are ever in Bayside you must try this place, it’s rocking. They are located on the corner of 35th avenue and 204 street, oh yeah if you ever see a guy chasing around two kids with a camera in hand, stop and say hello, it’s probably me.

And since i couldn’t make up my mind, i had my wife order for me. This is what she got me Mango ice with vanilla ice cream. After all I must maintain my physique.
