So I just picked up the 4GB Ipod Nano

One of the bad things being near B&H is the desire to buy new gadgets. Well the IPod bug hit me yesterday so I stopped on by B&H and before I knew it I walked out with a 4GB IPod Nano.

I know you are asking yourself why I bought the 4GB when the 30 GB is only $50 more, the nano is smaller lighter and plus, I don’t even have 1 GB worth of music yet. But I have to tell it’s totally cool I really dig it. Know all I have to do is go out and accessorize….

Just sharing some pics.

PhotoPlus Expo coming to NY November, 2-4 2006

I just wanted to let the photographers that visit my blog know that PhotPlus Expo will be in New York on November 2-4 2006.
I attended the show last year and it was awesome, it was great to actually meet some of the vendors that I interact with over the year so it’s actually cool to put a face with a name.
PhotoPlus Expo is a great resource to view the latest in wedding albums and design technologies offered to professional wedding photographers. I simply can’t wait to go again this year.
As for what seminars are offered they have not been listed yet, they are supposed to be announced later in August so I guess I will have to wait until then to see what seminars I will be attending.
If you would like additional information regarding the Expo please visit the official website at http://www.photoplusexpo.com/

My website is being moved

A note to our valued customers, my current webhost has informed me that my website Photography By Christos.com is scheduled to be moved to new server hardware on 7/12/06.

This may or may not affect our online ordering and proofing system oh yeah and let’s not forget about my blog…..

If you login to our systems after 7/13/06 and are experiencing a problem please let me know. My  webhost has assured my that everything will be fine, I hope. But after all I’m sure you all know technology. It’s kind of like the VCR clock that keeps blinking 12:00, 12:00, 12:00

I apologize for any inconvenience this transition may cause you.

A free image viewer that rocks.

Ok this image viewer utility is way cool it can do a lot of things that professional photographers may need.
It can Crop, resize, batch rename and a ton of other stuff so check it out, Infraview.

So does this blog stuff work?

Well I often wonder how all this blog stuff actually works. And I wonder on how it gets indexed by all the major search engines. Hmmm time to ponder these questions with some thought. I wonder if people actually read these blogs and if it benefits me at all.

The reason I actually started this blog was just for news and updates regarding my wedding photography business. And little by little I started adding more stuff about life in general. I guess it was a way for potential clients to get a sense of who I am prior to meeting me. Clients can browse look around and stuff and if they actually want they can even leave a comment.

As I’m sitting here I’m also wondering what actually makes a successful blog. There is just way to much information on the web regarding blogs. So if you have any information you can leave a comment or send me an e-mail.

Happy 4th of July

I hardly get a chance to go out and photograph for personal relaxation, but yesterday was the day.

My brother and I ended up going to the Shea Stadium annual 4th of July fireworks show. Although the Mets lost to the Pirates, the worst team in the National League by a score of 11-1. The fireworks show was pretty good. Below are a couple of my favorite images. Well folks have a happy and safe 4th of July.
